I know I’ve posted a couple times here about the TV show switched at birth. How it’s very popular and has done a good job of having positive representations of people with disabilities. I’ve also said the problem for blind and visually impaired viewers is that there is no audio description. Half the communication in the show is ASL and even with subtitles there’s still a lot that’s missed without moment to moment action being described.
Robert Kingett and I have written up a petition to the folks at Netflicks and Apple to work with audio describers who are willing and ready to make this a reality.
