A very quick post.
Recently I discovered that the Samaritans of Massachusetts a very solid well recognized and awesome suicide prevention hotline is able to take calls out of state. Some hotlines do take out of state calls and others don’t so it’s best to check. I know a lot of people from different states have had issues with their local suicide hotlines being less than helpful or not well run. So to know that this amazing organization is able to help those outside the area is a huge relief.
I don’t know if other Samaritans branches in new England do this. I happened through another activity I was doing to be talking with a supervisor over there and so that’s how I found out.
